7 SKILLS YOU SHOULD IMPROVE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR
1. Leadership skills
The second skill that you must have as an entrepreneur are leadership skills no one is going to run a successful business without learning how to deal effectively with the people that they're surrounding themselves with you see as an entrepreneur you have the ability to utilize your own resources and your own people and what that means is that you have to understand exactly what people need before they ask you for it if you want to be a successful entrepreneur you have to understand the intentions and the directions of the people that you're working with you see not everyone has the same motives the same desires the same emotions and so you have to be able to read every situation and understand exactly who you're dealing with and exactly where it is that they want to go people skills are the foundation to any enterprise and if you want to take your business to the next level you must learn how to deal with the people.
2. Organization
The first skill that you must have as an entrepreneur is organization look no one is going to be successful as a business owner unless they're organized the word organization means company and companies are organized because they know exactly what they're doing look a lot of times when people start a business they don't even know what they need to know about organizing in fact when I began as an entrepreneur there's so many things that I had to learn to organize and once I understood exactly where I needed to put the book exactly where I need to file the paper exactly how I need to record the numbers that's when my business began to change so my question for you is this what do you need to organize in your business in order to take it to the next level.
3. Mathematical skills
The fourth skill that you need as an entrepreneur are mathematical skills look I'm going to tell you straight up I was a failure when it came to math in fact I used to go backwards in high school I used to fail classes in college but I'm going to tell you straight up I persisted and I understood exactly what I need to do in order to understand the math that was presented to me now it pays off tremendously because I use math every single day I'm going to tell you something very important if you don't know how to compute numbers in your mind before you consult with a gadget a calculator then you could be in big trouble there's going to be so many opportunities where you're presented with certain numbers and you have to understand what these percentages mean you have to understand how to add and multiply and divide subtract and how numbers actually work in every aspect of your business I also want you to know that as you keep on growing as an entrepreneur this is going to be more numbers thrown to you so if you're intimidated by simple math problems then there's goanna be so many more that are coming your way if you want to become a multi-millionaire entrepreneur so master the numbers that you're facing right now in order to deal with the numbers that you'll be facing in the future.
4. Sales skills
The third skill that you need to become a successful entrepreneur are sales skills there is no successful entrepreneur in the world that doesn't know how to sell if you want to make it big you have to learn how to persuade people and get them to understand the value of what it is that you're offering a lot of times people are afraid of sales because they don't understand it they feel like it's an icky manipulative process where they have to change themselves with another person so that they can force them to buy but my friends it's not like that at all in fact selling is just like serving and serving is just like selling because if someone walks into your shop or reaches out to you on the internet and they inquire about your service what you're really doing is not selling them a product you're serving them by showing them exactly what they need in the way that they want it now it's totally up to you to articulate to the prospect exactly what kind of product they're getting and the price they're willing to pay for and once you're able to do it that's when you serve them and that's when you make the sales in order to keep your business going.
5. Marketing
The sixth skill that you must have as an entrepreneur is marketing look Marketing is the ability to attract certain people to who you are it's getting people to see the products and services that you have in your business and in order to market effectively you're going to have to promote you're goanna have to advertise you're goanna have to tell your customers to let other customers know that you're doing business with them now there's also a lot of people who think you know what I don't have to advertise I don't have to market I'll just go by word of mouth or I already have a lot of Google reviews that'll do my talking but my friends let me tell you something that's very important if you don't mark it right now you're going to be stagnant in the future if you don't put money into your business it's not going to grow into where you want it to be in the next five or 10 years you have to be able to pay the price right now in order to have the success that you want in the future and you must become a savvy marketer now I'll be the first to tell you that you're going to have to do a lot of free marketing in the beginning especially if you have a smaller budget what I want you to know is that when you make your first sale through free marketing you must use that profit in order to do paid marketing and once you're able to attract more people with paid marketing you'll make more sales and reinvest in your advertising so you can continue to build your empire.
6. Branding
The seventh skill that you need to become a master entrepreneur is branding if marketing is showing yourself to the world and sales is getting people to buy into your world branding is showing people what that world actually looks like you see branding is the picture that you paint in the customers mind and if you're able to show your customer exactly what they're looking for through your branding then you will be able to attract a customer for life let me put it this way branding is showing people what you look like marketing is getting people to see what you look like and sales is getting people to buy into what it is that you're actually trying to do.
7. Emotional intelligence
The fifth skill that you must have as an entrepreneur is emotional intelligence and what this basically is you understanding the environment that you're surrounded in you see you have to understand that your emotions control your environment but your environment can also control your emotions and if you understand exactly how you think how you feel then you're going to understand exactly how to react to environment and how to change your emotions if you want to work on your emotional intelligence you must be aware of everything you're facing right now it means that you must have self management over your affairs you must be disciplined you must be focused you must have composure there's going to be so many times we're going to be tested you're goanna face pressure you might feel like you want to lose that composure and you might face anxiety along the way but don't worry don't despair but prepare understand exactly what the situation actually is and do whatever you can to be proactive when it comes to moving forward and acting on your highest dreams one of my favorite words in a whole entire English language is the word equanimity and basically what this is composure in your mind and composure in your soul you see there's going to be a lot of times we're going to face pressure from the outside and they might attack you on the inside you might have worry and fear and doubt you might have insecurities you might be scared but equanimity will help you to prepare it will help you to be able to react to any situation and it will help you to build the emotional intelligence that you need to become a successful entrepreneur and build your business to the highest level of success that you actually want.
